1. Service Call Fee
The service call fee covers the cost of dispatching a professional technician to your home to diagnose the issue with your appliance or equipment. It includes:
- The technician’s time and labor for diagnosis
- Travel expenses
- Expertise to provide a repair estimate
If you choose to proceed with the repair, the service call fee is waived once the repair is completed.
If you choose not to proceed with the repair, the service call fee is still due at the time of the technician’s visit.
2. Diagnostic Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
Customer understands and agrees that during the diagnostic process, the appliance or equipment may already have pre-existing defects, wear, electrical issues, internal damage, corrosion, or prior improper repairs that are not visible or detectable before testing begins.
During diagnostics — including but not limited to powering the unit on or off, voltage testing, disassembly, component inspection, system resets, or operational testing — the appliance may partially or completely fail, stop functioning, or sustain additional damage as a result of these pre-existing conditions.
Appliance ER and its technicians shall not be held responsible or liable for appliance failure, loss of function, or additional damage that occurs during or immediately after diagnostic procedures, provided that reasonable and standard diagnostic practices are used.
Customer acknowledges that diagnostic services are performed at the customer’s own risk, especially for appliances that are:
- Older or out of manufacturer warranty
- Previously repaired or modified
- Improperly installed
- Experiencing electrical, control board, compressor, sealed system, or intermittent issues
Diagnostic services are limited to inspection and testing only and do not constitute a guarantee of repairability or continued operation of the appliance.
Customer understands that some appliances may be non-repairable, unsafe to continue operating, or economically impractical to repair once diagnostics are completed.
If an appliance becomes inoperable during diagnostics due to pre-existing conditions, the service call fee and diagnostic labor remain due and non-refundable.
The company and technician are not responsible for:
- Appliance downtime
- Loss of use or inconvenience
- Food loss, water loss, or secondary damages
- Replacement costs or consequential losses
Customer further agrees that no technician will be required to reassemble, restore, or reinstall failed components unless additional repair work is approved and paid for separately.
3. Authorization Acknowledgment
By scheduling service and authorizing diagnostic work, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to all diagnostic-related terms and conditions, including the risk of appliance failure during testing.
4. Payment Terms
